Is my Tattoo supposed to hurt so much?
I just got my second tattoo 5 days ago, located on the inside of my hip on the right side. The first couple of days it oozed, pretty normal, as with my back piece, now it's scabbing, which is pretty normal also. The artist said that it would take a little longer to heal in this spot. Now it freaking HURTS, feels like I am being stung and it is red and tender for about 1/4 inche around the site. Is that normal? As I said this is my second tattoo and my last one healed pretty fast. I have been washing 3-4 times a day, using only fingers, trying to wear loose clothes and tucking underwear in, and using Tattoo Goo when ever I feel like it needs it. Anything else? Could it be INFECTED!!! I don't want to get some kind of flesh eating bacteria or anything, LOL!

Different strokes for different folks. Neither of my tats are in any place that would cause discrimination by a future employer. Tattoos are hot.
If you are worried then go back to where you got it done and ask them. It sounds like it may be slightly infected. Maybe because you have been touching it so much as in washing it so frequently. It shouldn't have required any more than washing it when you shower at night and putting a cream like sorbelene on it. But if it isn't any better in a couple of days then go back to the tattoo artist.
